What does the counselling process look like?
You can book a free 15-minute consultation with me first to see if I am the right therapist for you. If so, you can book your first session. Once you have booked your first session, you will receive two forms including Informed Consent and Intake Form. You are encouraged to read through both forms and complete them before the start of our session.
We will go through both forms during the first session, and I am happy to answer your questions. When you are ready, we can identify your primary issues and goals you hope to reach during counselling. You can expect a relaxed and non-judgement space where you can just be “You”.
What if I could not afford your full rate for sessions? Do you offer sliding scale rates?
Please reach out to me and book a free consultation, we can discuss the rate based on your situation. I will try my best to make therapy more accessible to you!
What are the payment options? Do you direct bill my insurance?
I accept e-transfers and most credit card payments. I do not bill insurance companies directly at this moment but hope to provide such a service in the future. I will provide detailed receipt for you after the session for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbersement.
What happens if I miss a session or need to cancel a session?
Cancellation before 48 hours of the scheduled session: Free.
Cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled session: Half of the agreed hourly rate.
Cancellation within the same date of the scheduled session: Full hourly rate.
